Dr. Allred was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served an LDS mission in Connecticut, after which he returned to Utah and married his wife, Nanette.
He attended Brigham Young University and Weber State University, graduating with a degree in Zoology. He earned his M.D. at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and completed his four-year OB/GYN residency at William-Beaumont Hospital. He joined the staff at Madison Women's Clinic in July 2002. He has been recognized as a Fellow by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Allred is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Allred and his wife have two daughters and a son. He enjoys family, soccer, racquetball, and mountain biking.
